These beautiful black cats look so soft and fluffy it’s hard to believe they’re paintings. Serbian artist Endre Penovác has mastered the art of using heavily diluted watercolors and ink to create splotches of pigment that bleed across the paper, perfectly mimicking the texture of soft kitty fur.

Visit Endre Penovác’s website and Miss Moss to check out more of these marvelous midnight felines.

Bogotá, Colombia-based artist Yosman Botero creates stunning paintings with a haunting three dimensional feel by painting on layers of plexiglass that he then stacks together. Each layer is painted with a different detail of the final image, only viewable once all of the layers have been combined, creating a beautiful optical illusion that appears to be floating in space.

These four paintings are from Botero’s new Taxonomy series. Visit Yosman Botero’s website and Behance page to check out more of his artwork.
